Whole child training is enhanced through
extracurricular activities. To this end we have a limited and expanding
sports program. Boys 5th through 12th grade participate in competitive basketball.
Baseball was added in the spring of 2005. Girls have competitive volleyball
for 5th through 12th grade. Cheerleading provides a wonderful opportunity
for girls 5th grade through 12th grade. Also, we now have Girls' Softball. Beta Club for 9th through 12th grade
actively engages in several service projects each year such as “Operation
Christmas Child.” They also attend the state convention each year.
Student council and yearbook staff give opportunities for leadership and
GCS regularly participates in Math Olympics, spelling and geography bees, and the ACSI Creative Writing Festival.
