An interview with the Headmaster or designated representative is required. An overview of GCS will be given with emphasis on explaining our mission statement. Beginning in the K-5 program at least one parent must be a member of a local Christian church. In some cases a significant other family member in the student’s life such as a grandparent may suffice. A standard questionnaire will be used. A student’s attitude and conduct at previous schools is very important. Students under suspension or expulsion from other schools will only in rare circumstances be considered for admission to GCS. It is our policy to support the discipline administered by other schools. Another important question is whether a student can do the academic work at GCS. Attention will be given to a student’s grades, courses, conduct, and standardized tests. An assessment, especially in Math, may be necessary before proper placement. Parents must give GCS permission to contact previous schools concerning the student.
